Everyone Needs Water

This is my introductory project, which is based on water and the SDGs. SDGs stands for Sustainable Development Goals, which are goals that we as a society should focus on in order to create a better future. I remember watching a video in class about how people lived without clean water. When I watched this video, it made me realize how much of a privilege it is to have easy access to clean water. We also went to the Chicago Riverwalk, which was a nice experience. I enjoyed walking around the Riverwalk and watching people interact with it in their own ways. Water is such a nice thing to have, and we should all have the right to enjoy it.

For our first action project, we got make to make a poster based on two prompts. The one I chose to make is a protest poster. While making this poster, I wanted people to read my poster and realize that this is a serious issue and that we should talk more about it. I also wanted to bring attention to one of the SDGs, specifically number 6 (clean water and sanitation). With 785 million people around the world lacking access to clean water, I wanted my poster to make people aware of others' struggles, and to inspire others to make a change.

In conclusion, this introductory project has been a very insightful experience. I got to see others' struggles and made something about how I felt about it. I really enjoyed this project, and I’m excited to see what else we’ll do in the future.
